  • Logistics & Supply Chain Operations : - Manage inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, distribution, and transportation functions.
  • Optimize routing, scheduling, and delivery operations to ensure timely fulfilment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with South African customs and logistics regulations.
  • Financial Management & Cost Control : - Develop and manage logistics budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify inefficiencies, overspending, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement cost-avoidance strategies through vendor negotiation and process optimization.
  • Evaluate logistics contracts and service provider agreements with a focus on ROI and total cost of ownership.
  • Performance Management & KPI Tracking : - Define, implement, and track KPIs for logistics operations.
  • Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present KPI reports to senior management with recommendations.
  • Vendor, Carrier & Stakeholder Management- Manage relationships with transporters, warehouses, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Coordinate collaboration with finance, procurement, operations, and sales teams.
  • Compliance, Risk Management & Quality Assurance : - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations in South Africa.
  • Oversee risk management practices to mitigate transport and supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain quality standards for goods handling, storage, and distribution.
  • Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Utilize ERP / WMS / TMS systems to optimize operational accuracy.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within logistics operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
