Inventory Controller
Job summary
A local staffing company is seeking a Stock Controller/Administrator to oversee the inventory management processes. The role involves regular stock checks, order placement, and supplier liaison, along with maintaining accurate records. Candidates should have Grade 12 and preferably 2 years of experience in operational inventory control, with knowledge of MS Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems being advantageous. This role is based in Gauteng, Randburg.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 is a minimum requirement.
- 2 years’ operational inventory control experience preferred.
- Experience with MS Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Regularly check and maintain stock levels to meet business needs.
- Place orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and purchases.
- Conduct regular audits for inventory accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
- Implement and improve inventory management processes.
- Compile reports on inventory status and discrepancies.
- Compile month-end finance reports.

Position: Stock Controller/Administrator
Location: Gauteng (Northriding)
Reporting to: Nursery Manager
Responsible for the correct storing, movement and stock take of goods / consumable and product inventory according to company procedures.
- Regularly check and maintain stock levels to ensure they meet business needs.
- Place orders to replenish stock as needed and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, purchases, and pricing.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage orders, negotiate deals, and resolve any issues with deliveries.
- Implement and improve inventory management processes and procedures.
- Compile and present reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and other relevant metrics.
- Compile month-end finance reports
- Grade 12
- Preferable 2 years’ operational inventory control experience
- MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a big advantage or any other Microsoft ERP such as Navision and Axapta (BC or F&O)
