The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products and materials. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of products - Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations - Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently - Prepare and ship outgoing orders, ensuring proper packaging and labeling - Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks - Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner - Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times - Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed - Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments - Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations - Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred - Forklift certification is a plus - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects - Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management systems Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
