Senior Finance Manager
Job summary
A leading retail group in Pretoria seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial function and develop towards a Finance Director role. The position requires a strong financial background, with a focus on financial management, budgeting, and governance. Candidates should have a BCom Accounting or related degree, and CA(SA) is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience. This role offers opportunities for executive-level decision-making and leadership within a structured group environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience required.
- Experience in Retail or FMCG multi-site environment advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Full accountability for financial function.
- Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial insight.

This role is positioned as a senior finance leadership appointment with a clear succession pathway for the right individual. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will assume full accountability for the financial function while progressively expanding their strategic, leadership, and group‑facing responsibilities.
The role is ideally suited to a high‑performing Finance Manager or early‑career CA(SA) who is ready to step into a broader mandate, gain exposure to executive‑level decision‑making, and develop toward a future Finance Director role within a group‑integrated retail environment.
Subject to performance and organisational requirements, this role offers progression into a Finance position.
