Role: Special Projects Manager (Executive Special Projects Unit)

Employment: 6 month contract (to be made permanent if successful)

Location: Cape Town City Centre (onsite)

Executive Special Projects Unit:

We’re assisting our client, a leading telecommunications business based in Cape Town, assemble a high-impact Executive Special Projects Unit that will report directly to their executive team and be deployed wherever the business needs rapid, decisive action.

Think new-product rollouts, device testing, delivery strategy, network handovers—any initiative that is too urgent, complex, or messy to slot into a normal line function.

What these roles look like:

• Six-month contracts - Each project will be short, intense, and business-critical. Permanent roles will be offered to those who perform the best at the end of the term.
• High autonomy, high visibility - You’ll work side-by-side with execs, solve ambiguous problems, and make calls that make an immediate impact.
• Outcome over process - Structured thinking, speed, and relentless execution matter more than perfect documentation.

Who we’re hunting for:

• Sharp generalists—ex-consultants, product managers, analysts, engineers or operation leads who feel under-utilised and want heavier lifts.
• Early-career (20s–early 30s) quick studies who can turn “I’m not sure yet” into “here’s the draft plan” overnight.
• Clear communicators who can switch between a one-page executive brief, an Excel model and a stand-up update without missing a beat.
• Bias for action. People who chase outcomes, not titles.
• Degrees and past titles are irrelevant; capability, adaptability and drive are everything.
