Job summary

A retail company in Cape Town is seeking a Debtors Clerk to manage customer accounts and ensure all payments are collected and recorded. The candidate will be responsible for processing payments, resolving customer queries, managing overdue accounts, and generating financial reports. Successful applicants should have a Grade 12 qualification, PC literacy, and preferably some retail experience. This is a full-time position based at the head office.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 qualification required.
  • PC literacy is essential.
  • Experience in retail is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date debtor accounts including invoices and payment allocations.
  • Allocate payments from customers and manage debit orders.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and collect debts.
  • Address customer queries and issues related to accounts.
  • Generate reports on accounts receivable and cash flow.
  • Process new customer account applications.
  • Ensure accuracy in customer master data.
