Infrastructure Architect (OT and IT)
Our Client, a Global Tech firm, is seeking an Infrastructure Architect (OT and IT) to join their team in Rosebank.
This position offers 1 day of remote work per week and requires collaboration across Australia and USA time zones, with flexible working hours to accommodate meetings and ensure workday hours are maintained. The technology stack is non-SAP and varies depending on the discipline or function.
The role is responsible for developing architecture within Digital Technology (DT) across the IT and OT domains.
Purpose: To select new technologies and design platforms that deliver business value based on sound architecture principles.
Scale: Global reach, engaging at all organizational levels, delivering potential outcomes worth billions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in global processes to evaluate new technology ideas, providing research, analysis, design review, and recommendations.
- Support project and business group designs to ensure efficient and secure technology architectures.
- Manage relationships with global leaders in a matrixed organization, building trust and teamwork.
- Collaborate to identify, select, and implement suitable solutions.
- Research emerging innovations for potential business value.
- Validate and prioritize enterprise architecture and migration plans, overseeing their phases and transitions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of technology solutions architecture, including requirements, vendor selection, design, and costing.
- Work effectively across matrixed client, supplier, and virtual teams.
- Ensure efficient operation of IT infrastructure and applications in a multinational context, including managing external suppliers and offshore resources.
- Develop technology and system strategies aligned with business goals.
- Establish standards and policies for IT matters.
- Engage stakeholders across diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.
- Demonstrate business and financial acumen.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT-related fields.
- Certifications preferred but not mandatory.
- At least 8 years in senior leadership roles within a corporate IT environment.
- Extensive experience in IT technology architecture.
- Background in application development, deployment, and infrastructure.
Skills and Additional Qualifications:
- Consulting, testing, solutions design and development, technical solutions.
- Experience with Operational Technology, Managed Services, TOGAF, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
