Job summary
A global logistics entity is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Cape Town office. The role involves managing accounts receivable, preparing financial statements, and improving accounting processes. Ideal candidates should have a Finance Degree, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong Excel skills. Opportunities for growth within the entity are available.

Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and prepare client invoices.
- Post bank statements and perform reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Our client, a Global Logistics Entity, is looking for a Go-getter Senior Accountant. Room for growth within the Entity.
- Accounts receivable
- Prepare and distribute client invoices, update clients' Statement of Accounts, follow up with clients about outstanding payments
- Post client invoices
- Post bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
- Verify correctness of vendor invoices via an established reconciliation process
- Post supplier invoices
- Reconcile and post Senior Management expenses
- Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial statements
- Assist with financial analysis of various projects or initiatives
- Contribute to the improvement of the existing accounting processes
- Build cross-functional relationships across the company
- Finance Degree plus articles
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Advanced Excel
- XERO Software, QBO software advantageous
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Practical and logical approach to resolving business problems
- Professional, proactive, open to learning
