Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Bookkeeper for their Overport office. The role involves cashbook capturing, bank reconciliations, preparing general ledger journals, and assisting with management accounts. Candidates should have a Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting, a tertiary finance qualification, and 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience. Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail are essential. Competitive remuneration of R21,000 to R23,000 is offered.

- Cashbook capturing and daily/monthly bank recons.
- Preparation of general ledger journals and management accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cashbook capturing
- Daily/monthly Bank recons
- Preparation and capturing of General Ledger journals
- Assisting in preparation of management accounts
- Assisting in preparation of annual budgets
- Assistance with internal/external auditors
- Preparation of Balance sheet recons
- Preparation of Vat workings and returns
- Maintaining and updating of fixed assets register
- Assistance with Debtors and Creditors duties
- General administration and filing
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (With Mathematics & Accounting as subjects)
- Tertiary Bookkeeping/Finance qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of Accounting software packages
- Strong MS Office skills
- Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines
- Have excellent documentation and communication skills
- Attention to Detail and high level of accuracy
- Office hours: Monday to Friday 08h00 to 17h00
- This position will be based in Overport. However, the successful candidate will have undergo an initial 3 months training/supervision at the company head office in Mobeni.
RUMUNERATION
R21,000 To R23,000 (Total Cost To Company)
