Product Manager Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for managing product categories and implementing marketing initiatives to create an efficient and profitable product range in South Africa and neighbouring countries.

The position reports to the Marketing Executive and, with the support of the manager, becomes the owner of the product.

Drives the optimisation, innovation, and continuous improvements of product ranges and works with both HQ and the local engineering team to develop and launch new product lines.

Develops and implements the marketing plan in line with marketing strategy and manages activity plans to drive market share and profitability.

Salary: R56 - R62 CTC + Benefits

Desired Experience & Qualification:

1. Analytical thinking, ability to carry out complex analysis and make sound judgments at solving problems.
2. Preparation and execution of marketing & pricing strategy and business plan.
3. Very sound knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc., especially Excel).
4. A team player who is great at building professional working relationships.
5. Proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and with accuracy to meet deadlines.
6. Empathy, and a genuine desire and passion to solve our customer's problems.
7. Show initiative, creativity, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in FMCG.
2. NQF Level 7 or 8 (Bachelor's degree) in Economics / Business / Commerce.
