Our client is a beverage manufacturer located in Stellenbosch and they are looking for a Sales and Data Analyst to join their team as soon as possible.

Job Description

The Sales & Data Analyst (Business Information) role exists primarily to serve the Sales & Marketing functions. Our ability to transition towards a data driven organization making faster and more informed business decisions requires a dedicated role. The incumbent should have the ability to consolidate data from internal and external sources to create usable business information with which decisions can be made and relied upon. Analyzing the meaning of, and visualizing the resultant business information, would afford the business functions more management time to key tasks i.e. selling, distribution and customer management. Management responses to the data/information produced would be quicker and result in increased efficiency.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Gather data from various internal & external sources, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems, web analytics (like Google Analytics), social media, Circana/Nielsen.
  • Clean, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and understand consumer behavior.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Use historical data to forecast future sales and market trends. Compile data into visualized reports to share with sales and marketing teams.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales strategies, optimize marketing expenses, and enhance customer experience.
  • Analyze competitors and external market conditions to provide a better understanding of the business’s position in the market.
Educational Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with common majors including business, marketing, statistics, computer science, or a related analytical field
Experience and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in FMCG or manufacturing, preferably within the Food or Beverage category.
  • Adept in working with various tools such as Microsoft SQL, Power BI and any other common industry specific analytics solutions to provide reporting to the business
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical analysis, data cleansing, and visualization.
  • Experience with data analysis tools, programming languages and business intelligence tools like Microsoft SQL & Power BI.
  • Understanding marketing principles, including marketing strategies, ROI, and customer acquisition tactics.
  • Strong ability to clearly present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
