GJM Ultra Billing is urgently seeking a Credit Controller (specifically acquainted with medical billing environment).

Remuneration: Negotiable based on Experience

Minimum Requirements:

1. Matric certificate
2. Own Vehicle
3. Valid Driver’s license
4. Proven Experience in handling Medical Credit controlling
5. SAMA knowledge would be an advantage
6. Age – 25 - 35

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the billing process for insured and self-pay patients
2. Confirming Patient account charges
3. Submitting claims to insurance companies and resolving queries to enable invoice settlement
4. Monitor and manage outstanding accounts, identifying and resolving queries
5. Ensuring that invoices are approved for Settlement and Payments are received on time and overdue accounts are dealt with promptly and effectively
6. Build strong relationships with insurance companies to ensure efficient invoice approval and payment, and effective dispute resolution
7. Resolve queries and issues related to billing and credit control
8. Identify and escalate any issues or risk related to billing and credit control
9. Provide regular reporting on billing and credit control activities and aged debt reporting
10. Develop and implement effective credit control procedures to ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner
11. Keep up to date with changes in healthcare regulations and insurance policies to ensure that the organization's billing practices are compliant

Key Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a billing and credit control role, ideally within the healthcare industry
2. Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding practices including understanding of different billing systems, private medical insurance plans and reimbursement method (billing system examples – Elixir Live, Medidi, iHealth, Healthbridge, Vericlaim)
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate issues to achieve resolution
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Billing software
