Job summary
A leading South African financial services provider is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Reporting and Monitoring Analyst to leverage data analytics in monitoring and reporting on credit sales and applications. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical abilities along with 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, and data visualization tools is essential.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, financial forecasting, or a similar role.
- Ideal to have proficiency in data modelling techniques and forecasting methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Leverage data analytics techniques to monitor and report on credit sales and applications.
- Work closely with teams responsible for reporting actual realised sales and forecasting and budgeting.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Reporting and Monitoring Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role involves leveraging data analytics techniques to monitor and report on credit sales and applications. The analyst will work closely with two teams—one responsible for reporting actual realised sales and the other for forecasting and budgeting for the sales. The insights generated will help derive effective and usable management insights on sales and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, financial forecasting, or a similar role (banking or financial services experience preferred).
- Ideal to have proficiency in data modelling techniques and forecasting methodologies.
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL, SAS and data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance or Statistics
- A relevant post-graduate qualification in Finance or Statistics
