A healthcare organization in South Africa is seeking a Director for Nursing Education and Training. This role involves providing clinical services and teaching at the Gauteng College of Nursing. The ideal candidate should possess an MBChB or equivalent, and have experience in paediatrics including neonatal intensive care. Additional qualifications such as a Diploma in Child Health are favorable. Closing date for applications is 19 December 2025.
Competenze
- At least 1 year experience in Paediatrics including Neonatal Intensive Care.
- Proof of research experience is advantageous.
- Minimum of 4 years nursing experience after registration with SANC.
Mansioni
- Provide clinical services to hospitals and units.
- Conduct teaching and patient administration activities.
- Complete the required research project and assessments.
Conoscenze
Formazione
- Nursing Education and Training – 30 posts
- MBChB or equivalent. Registration as Independent Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA. FCPaed Part 1 of the CMSA. At least 1 year experience in Paediatrics including Neonatal Intensive Care. Proof of research experience and a Diploma in Child Health will be an added advantage.
- Providing clinical services, including after‑hours work to hospitals and units linked to the University of Pretoria.
- Teaching, patient administration and presentation of cases.
- Completing a research project, log‑book and work‑based assessment portfolio as required by the CMSA and University of Pretoria.
Registrars will be required to rotate between the different institutions. Preference will be given to South African citizens. Performance of normal and commuted overtime is not mandatory, however it will be based on the operational needs of the hospitals.
