Job summary

A healthcare organization in South Africa is seeking a Director for Nursing Education and Training. This role involves providing clinical services and teaching at the Gauteng College of Nursing. Requirements

• MBChB or equivalent. Registration as Independent Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA. FCPaed Part 1 of the CMSA. At least 1 year experience in Paediatrics including Neonatal Intensive Care. Proof of research experience and a Diploma in Child Health will be an added advantage.

Duties

• Providing clinical services, including after‑hours work to hospitals and units linked to the University of Pretoria.
• Teaching, patient administration and presentation of cases.
• Completing a research project, log‑book and work‑based assessment portfolio as required by the CMSA and University of Pretoria.

Registrars will be required to rotate between the different institutions. Preference will be given to South African citizens. Performance of normal and commuted overtime is not mandatory, however it will be based on the operational needs of the hospitals.
