As a Senior Software Engineer at Visa, you will be an integral part of the Visa Container as a Service Team, contributing to the design, enhancement, and development of our transactional platform within an agile environment. Working alongside supportive and challenging colleagues, you will be involved in multiple projects focused on building real-time transactional services, REST API services, container-based services, and robust, secure, and scalable systems. Your responsibilities will include unit testing, code reviews, and regular check-ins to ensure continuous integration practices are ingrained in your workflow.In this role, you will go beyond coding to help our customers achieve their business goals by understanding their requirements and responding effectively. Leveraging technologies such as Java, AngularJS, Golang, REST, and NoSQL, you will analyze business needs, architect scalable solutions, and provide comprehensive technical documentation. With a focus on delivering new features regularly, you will showcase your proficiency in programming languages, mobile technologies, quality assurance, scripting languages, and operating systems. Embracing software best practices and processes, you will collaborate effectively as part of a team.This hybrid position may require a varying number of days in the office, as confirmed by your Hiring Manager.**Responsibilities:**- Understanding customer requirements and aligning them with business needs- Utilizing technologies such as Java, AngularJS, Golang, REST, and NoSQL- Architecting robust and scalable solutions and providing technical documentation- Developing and delivering new features on a frequent basis- Demonstrating proficiency in programming languages, mobile technologies, and quality assurance- Following and creating software best practices and processes- Exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills and fostering teamwork**Qualifications:****Basic Qualification:**- 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, OR- 5+ years of relevant work experience**Preferred Qualifications:**- 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, OR- 2+ years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD)- Expertise in Core Java, JEE technologies, REST, and container-based technologies- Experience in architecting solutions with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery- Curiosity, creativity, and a focus on understanding customer requirements and processes- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with task-focused execution- Strong research skills and attention to detail- Exceptional work ethics and collaborative spirit- Passion for improving products and services while understanding customer needsJoin us at Visa to make a meaningful impact and be part of our purpose-driven team.
