Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Cleaning, leveling, and measuring surfaces to ensure proper alignment and adhesion.
- Layout Planning: Measuring spaces and planning tile layout to minimize cuts and waste.
- Tile Cutting and Shaping: Using tools like tile cutters, grinders, and wet saws to shape tiles for corners, edges, and around fixtures.
- Installation: Applying mortar or adhesive and setting tiles in place with proper spacing.
- Grouting: Filling joints with grout and cleaning excess material.
- Finishing: Sealing tiles and grout (if required) and polishing the surface.
- Repair Work: Removing and replacing damaged or cracked tiles.
