Job Description
AtkinsRéalis is looking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in the supervision of infrastructure-related electrical systems, including street lighting, pumping stations, power distribution networks, and utility coordination.
The successful candidate will be part of the site supervision team overseeing a Roads & Infrastructure Project, ensuring that all electrical works meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 5 years in similar electrical works supervision in Qatar.

Responsibilities:
Supervise on-site electrical works including street lighting networks, electrical panels, power supply for drainage systems, and utilities related to infrastructure.
Review and approve electrical design/shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and ITPs.
Ensure compliance with client, Kahramaa, and Qatar Civil Defence Authority (QCDD) electrical requirements.
Monitor installation works for LV power distribution systems, cable laying, earthing and lightning protection systems.
Participate in inspections, FAT/SAT for electrical panels, lighting poles, and pumping station controls.
Identify design conflicts, propose technical solutions, and coordinate with other disciplines (drainage, mechanical, civil) on site.
Ensure proper documentation and QA/QC control for electrical installations.
Review contractor’s progress and performance and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
Support final testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
Liaise with local authorities for utility connections, permits, and approvals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering (WHED-listed university).
Minimum 15 years total experience, with at least 7 years in electrical works supervision within infrastructure projects.
Grade A Electrical Engineer UPDA certificate.
Preferred – Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional license.
Minium five years’ experience in Qatar.
GCC infrastructure projects.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
Knowledge of standards, road material specs, QA/QC processes, and stakeholder coordination.
Familiar with document management systems, MS Office, AutoCAD (viewing), and site-related software.
Key Competencies:
Strong technical expertise in low-voltage infrastructure systems and public realm electrical works.
Knowledge of Kahramaa regulations and QCDD compliance procedures.
Clear understanding of testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
Ability to lead site inspections and resolve technical issues independently.
Skilled in stakeholder coordination and progress monitoring.
