We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join a dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment up to 11kV and 30,000 HP, covering both Low Tension (LT) and High Tension (HT) systems, including those operating up to 480 volts and 500kW. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical systems within industrial, power plant, or large-scale infrastructure environments.
Perform electrical testing, diagnostics, and maintenance of LT and HT systems up to 11kV and 30,000 HP.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, switchgear, and control systems as per standards.
Conduct insulation resistance, contact resistance, and earth resistance tests using appropriate testing tools.
Interpret and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with engineering and mechanical teams to coordinate shutdowns, repairs, and installations.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for maintenance logs and inspections.
Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and testing of HT/LT systems in industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems up to 11kV and 480V.
Experience working with motors up to 30,000 HP and systems up to 500kW.
Familiarity with testing tools such as megger, multimeter, clamp meter, and earth testers.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and protection schemes.
Proficient in troubleshooting electrical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
Knowledge of safety practices, risk assessments, and electrical codes (e.g., IEC or NEC).
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
