Ash Sharqiyah Operations & Maintenance Company (ASHOMCo) is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in operating and maintaining high-capacity co-generation power plants. About ASHOMCo:

Established in 2013, ASHOMCo is a trusted O&M contractor managing Saudi Aramco Co-generation Power Plants with a capacity of 920 MW electricity and 1,400 tons/hr steam, located in Hawiyah, Abqaiq, and Ras Tanura.

Position Overview:

As an electrical engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical systems, ensuring uninterrupted power generation and distribution, and implementing best-in-class safety and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems (LV/HV equipment, switchgear, transformers, protection systems)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical failures; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support electrical asset testing, commissioning, and system upgrades
  • Coordinate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless plant operations
  • Enforce strict compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and operational protocols
  • Participate in ISO audits and third-party inspections, ensuring all documentation and practices are audit-ready
  • Contribute in budget preparation, cost control, and forecasting for electrical maintenance programs
  • Prepare and present incident reports, technical reports, and high-level technical summaries to management and regulatory stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed reports and logs of maintenance activities, equipment status, and incidents
  • Reporting: This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, with regular updates on critical issues and performance indicators

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in power generation or industrial plant O&M
  • Strong knowledge of electrical asset management, outage management and project coordination
  • Expertise in protection systems, relays, and control panels
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) practices
  • Experience in managing contractors, spare parts inventory, and shutdown planning
