Job description
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a robust logistics strategy that aligns with our broader R&S operational goals, focusing on optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs
- Manage the end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment functions to ensure delivery schedules
- Lead the strategic management of integrating various supply chain functions in the manufacturing process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to enhance supply chain resilience and performance
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, that includes operator, officer and executive levels across the logistics, customs, planning, purchasing and order management staff. Provide clear guidance and coaching to foster a culture of high performance and accountability
- Coordinate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time material delivery, proactively resolving issues and mitigating risks to prevent supply chain disruptions
- Optimize warehouse operations by improving layout, storage systems, and workflows to optimize space utilization and increase pick and pack efficiency
- Manage the R&S supply chain systems and technology to provide visibility and control throughout the logistics operations, securing material availability to order fulfillment monitoring and control
- Use data-driven techniques, such as ABC analysis and cycle counting, to optimize inventory levels in minimizing stockouts, and reduce excess inventory
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations governing import/export customs management, transportation and warehousing
