Summary
Research, recruit, screen, interview, and refer qualified candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions as assigned. Requires considerable skill in interviewing techniques, knowledge of manufacturing and specialized functions of the company, a general understanding of Jabil Circuit's personnel policies and procedures, and a basic understanding of federal and state employment laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Partner with managers and supervisors to identify and determine recruiting needs, including required knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications.
- Develop advertisement texts and placement strategies for newspapers, journals, periodicals, internet sites, etc.
- Understand the plant and campus strategic directions.
- Coordinate procedures to resolve visa issues affecting potential employees.
- Share best internet recruiting practices with colleagues to identify and attract candidates.
- Negotiate salary and relocation offers to create mutually beneficial relationships with prospective employees.
- Arrange relocations in accordance with Jabil policies, including household goods movement.
- Maintain a network of agency contacts to source qualified candidates.
- Develop information on company facilities and job opportunities for candidates.
- Ensure clerical procedures comply with federal, state, and EEOC requirements.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for candidates interviewing or relocating.
- Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis and metrics management.
- Implement new best practices in recruiting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Lead by example and promote team accomplishments.
- Share knowledge with other facilities to promote best recruiting practices.
- Partner with managers during the interview and hiring process.
- Identify areas for improvement to retain quality employees.
- Work with the Employment Manager to set measurable goals and track results.
- Present a professional image and foster team spirit.
- Participate in team communication forums.
- Organize ideas clearly and professionally.
- Provide regular updates on recruitment strategies and results.
- Help develop cost-reduction strategies and streamline processes.
- Monitor and report on departmental costs and trends.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2-5 years of recruiting experience. PHR or HR Management Certification is preferred.
