Technician II / Senior Tech / AE I - Process
Job summary
A leading technology firm in Ipoh is looking for a Technician II/Senior Technician/AE I to monitor and improve production yields through effective process control and machine optimization. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Engineering Technology and experience in process engineering. Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, all while adhering to company values. This role requires shift work and provides opportunities to contribute to process performance improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics).
- Experience in process engineering.
- Root cause analysis/problem solving and process troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor shiftly yield by machine.
- Optimize machine settings and perform buyoff.
- Train trainers/operators on new processes.
- Maintain and qualify equipment for production use.
- Provide technical support to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Execute small improvement projects for process performance.
Ipoh, Malaysia
- Responsible for monitoring shiftly yield by machine.
- Process control check points ( First Article, SPC, golden unit testing).
- Optimize machine setting. Machine buyoff.
- Reject verification and disposition.
- Train trainer/operator on new process or new procedure.
- To assist the process engineer in achieving test yield target.
- To maintain and qualify equipment, tools/ fixtures for production used.
- Perform periodic verification and calibration on equipment/ tools/ fixtures.
- To provide technical support on process to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Execute small improvement project to improve process performance and efficiency.
- Responsible for the overall product yields.
- Responsible to establish and implement all appropriate actions to improve the yields.
- Monitoring reaction plans to improve product yield.
- Responsible for the product documentation (eg. Product specification, etc.).
- Responsible for product transfer readiness and activities.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
- Diploma in Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics).
- Root cause analysis/problem solving. Process trouble shooting.
- SPC
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
- Experience in process engineering
- Willing to work on shifts
