To assist superiors in daily purchasing operations, including import purchases, sourcing steel materials, price negotiation, and follow-up on delivery.
Lead and manage procurement of goods and services for assigned categories, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and quality standards.
Conduct thorough market research and supplier analysis to evaluate potential vendors and negotiate optimal pricing and terms.
Implement and maintain effective procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal guidelines.
Analyze procurement data and generate reports to identify trends, track performance, and measure cost savings.
Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and legal developments impacting procurement.
Carry out price review activities for purchased goods.
Generate purchase orders (PO) and related correspondences.
Work closely with internal departments and external suppliers regarding purchased or engaged items.
Perform any other duties assigned by superiors from time to time.
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement role.
Proficient in analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and contract management principles.
Possess own transport.
Language requirements: English, Malay, Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
