Construction Safety & Health Officer
Job summary
A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to oversee safety trainings and inspections at their sites in Selangor and Terengganu. Candidates should have a minimum of Diploma or Professional Certificate recognized by DOSH/NIOSH and at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry. Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English are required. This role focuses on maintaining safety compliance and preventing workplace incidents.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Professional Certificate approved by DOSH/NIOSH.
- Possess a valid NIOSH Green Book registered with JKKP.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct safety trainings to staff and contractors.
- Carry out regular safety inspections.
- Conduct safety committee meetings and audits.
- Investigate injuries and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with permit to work requirements.
- Identify construction hazards and communicate safety protocols.
