About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our reputable accounting and tax advisory firm, Maxi Management & Tax Advisory Sdn Bhd, based in the vibrant city of Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns in compliance with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and Royal Malaysian Customs requirements.

Manage annual tax filings and liaise with external auditors for statutory submissions and audits

Monitor and interpret tax legislation, guidelines, and regulatory updates, ensuring client remains compliant and well-informed.

Develop and implement effective tax strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities, advice on tax implications for business transactions while ensuring full compliance with Malaysian tax laws.

Keep up-to-date with industry and track changes related to accounting and business environment

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals

What we're looking for

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject;

Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) are highly preferred.

Passionate and career-oriented individual

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good analytical and time management skills
