The Senior Logistic Executive’s primary function is to manage, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments by freight forwarders and couriers to meet delivery terms while complying with trade regulations. This position requires daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries at competitive costs while maintaining a high service level.

This role demands strong knowledge of import/export clearance processes and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders to enhance service performance. The Senior Logistic Executive will supervise a team of logistic officers, supervisors, and material handlers to meet Logistic and Warehouse KPIs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. General Duties

• Collaborate with freight forwarders to optimize logistics in terms of quality, cost, delivery lead time, and after-sales services.
• Ensure accurate and timely information and documentation flow to stakeholders.
• Review requirement plans and determine suitable logistics solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.

1. Logistics Specific Tasks

• Negotiate freight rates with freight forwarders and couriers to meet delivery targets.
• Identify and source potential freight partners.
• Coordinate supply solutions during line-down or component shortages, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Maintain data integrity within the ERP system.
• Monitor and evaluate freight forwarders' and couriers' performance scores.
• Address and resolve ad-hoc logistics issues, driving improvements.
• Implement process improvements and promote kaizen practices.
• Engage with customs and government authorities on trade compliance, documentation, and negotiations.
• Prepare and compile monthly LMW reports and Form E for ACFTA applications.
• Educate internal teams on trade compliance and customs regulations.
• Classify and interpret Harmonized Schedule Codes for internal stakeholders.

Requirements / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a logistics management role.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with MRP / ERP systems.
• Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding, trade compliance, customs, and LMW.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
