Job description

In this role, you will negotiate supply contracts for Gas Turbines across the APAC region to help our customers achieve their objectives. You will need to be able to identify key market conditions, regulations, and risks to help evaluate potential and profitable opportunities. Your capacity to analyze contracts and data, financial proficiency, and proactive approach are crucial for success in this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Take ownership and drive the commercial parts of the bid, incl. developing a strategy for terms and conditions, tax and currency concepts, financial securities, terms of payments, insurance and export control
  • Be a core team member of our bidding teams, bringing strong commercial leadership and stakeholder engagement of key support functions
  • Identify and mitigate all commercial and legal risks based on the projects’ unique characteristics while ensuring full transparency and adherence to internal due diligence and approval processes
  • Strong customer advocacy by acting as the customer’s voice within our organization and vice versa
  • Clear understanding and optimization of any impacts to the P&L, Balance sheet, and cash flow due to changes related to the project schedule, scope, T&Cs, currency, financial security instruments, payment plans, insurances, tax, ECC, compliance, and contractual structure.
  • Strategic and sales attitude that can be easily translated in the form of storytelling to persuade internal and external stakeholders of bidding and contracting the projects
  • Continuously challenge yourself and our organization to improve, simplify, and digitalize our way of working
What You Bring
  • Advanced experience on reading, analyzing, and mitigating the commercial and legal exposure from customer contract drafts and Requests For Quotations (RFQs).
  • Substantial experience in negotiating contracts, consortium agreements, or supply agreements with EPC’s, suppliers, or customers.
  • Vast knowledge on tendering processes for power generation projects, such as bidding timelines, minimum requirements from developers or GENCOs, main hurdles that could block the continuity of the bidding process, geopolitical challenges that could divert the tendering process and its implications for customers and SE technologies.
  • A master of translating the risk exposure into financial, commercial, or legal mitigations throughout the bidding phase until the contract signature.
  • Diligence to ensure highest accuracy of all information and data in the internal review and approval processes and external negotiations and contractual documents.
  • Strong team player that quickly builds networks and knows how to motivate internal stakeholders to support bidding projects in time and quality.
