A leading flour milling company located in Malaysia is seeking a laboratory technician to perform routine tests on samples and raw materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a Certificate/Diploma in Food Technology with at least one year of laboratory experience. Responsibilities include accurate testing, reporting defects, and supporting compliance activities. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Perform routine laboratory tests on milling, batching, packing samples, and raw materials according to SOP, ensuring timely and accurate results.
Report any quality defects or arising issues to the superiorto further action.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for product quality defects and update NCR records accordingly.
Conduct additional testing related to competitor’s flour analysis, flour streaming studies, complaints, and R&D evaluations as assigned.
Accurately record and file test results, graphs, and other documents with no errors.
Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, and Good Laboratory Practice.
Serve as a backup to change formulas in IFIX after normal shifts, during weekends, and on public holidays as instructed.
Support and comply with FSSC 22000 requirements and actively participate in related activities.
Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by management.
Certificate/Diploma in Food Technology or any Science related.
Minimum 1 year working experience in Laboratory.
