In Southeast Asia, a vast economic region with a population nearing 700 million, Japanese companies have increasingly heightened their investment appetite in recent years. Traditionally, the region was primarily seen as a manufacturing and export base, leveraging its low labor costs. However, with economic growth and the expansion of the middle class, the region is now gaining prominence as a market in its own right. Companies are being called upon to capture the rapid expansion of the digital economy through partnerships with local stakeholders.

Moreover, public and private sector awareness of green and sustainability initiatives has undergone a significant shift, and trends such as decarbonization and the SDGs—key themes in the “Resources, Energy, and Industrial Products” sector—are drawing increased attention.

• Business strategy and market entry strategy development
• M&A, alliances, and startup partnerships
• Digital transformation of operations
• Utilisation of IoT and AI in manufacturing processes
• Improvement of data management and operations
• RPA and machine learning
• Support for implementing systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft

As a Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in a mixed team of local and JCS members, managing projects while using personal strengths to support project and client development.

• Practical experience at a consulting firm, with expertise in one of the following areas: Marketing / Digital Transformation (DX), Technology.
• Native level Japanese and business level English, or native level English and business level Japanese.
• A strong interest in industries such as energy, materials, or industrial machinery.
• Proven track record of contributing to securing projects through proposal activities.
• Experience in leading projects.
• Southeast Asia related consulting experience.
