Job summary
A leading logistics company in Indonesia is seeking a skilled operations manager to oversee vessel and equipment operations, ensuring efficient terminal activities and stakeholder coordination. The role involves planning, monitoring operational performance, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and meet KPIs. Candidates should have relevant experience and a background in logistics or operations management.

- Plan and supervise vessel berthing, stowage, and container-handling activities.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, pilots, and harbour authorities.
- Ensure crane productivity targets and berth productivity KPIs are met.
- Resolve operational disruptions or delays in real time.
- Manage container yard planning, space allocation, and stacking strategies.
- Oversee equipment deployment (RTGs, reach stackers, terminal tractors, quay cranes).
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance with engineering teams.
- Implement strategies to reduce congestion and optimize yard flows.
- Ensure efficient truck and rail gate processing.
- Monitor turn‑around times and enforce security and customs compliance.
- Coordinate with trucking companies and inland transport providers.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement operational enhancements.
- Lead operational improvement initiatives (automation, digitalization, process redesign).
- Participate in capacity planning and long‑term terminal development projects.
- Contribute to budgeting, cost control, and resource optimization.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, customs, port authorities, and logistics partners.
- Handle customer inquiries, operational issues, and service‑level agreements.
