Medway Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Manager - Kinship and Post Order Support Team to support the delivery of high-quality practice for children and families. This is a non-case holding role focused on leadership, supervision, and service improvement within a statutory children's services setting.
- Market premia of £3,000 per annum, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
- Retention payment of £2,000 per annum, paid each April after two years in post
- Hybrid working arrangement

- Support the Team Manager with leadership, oversight, and day-to-day management
- Provide high-quality supervision to social workers and promote reflective practice
- Deputise for the Team Manager as required, including chairing meetings

- Play a key role in delivering the objectives of the Assistant Team Manager - Kinship and Post Order Support Team
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Substantial post-qualifying experience within statutory children's services
- Proven experience of supervising and supporting social workers
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and statutory guidance
- Ability to lead practice and support service delivery within the Assistant Team Manager - Kinship and Post Order Support Team
