We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Content Platform Insights team. Content Platform is a central enabler for the Spotify business. We deliver a complete, available, and enriched catalog of music, podcasts, videos, and more. We provide the knowledge graph that accumulates differentiated understandings of creators, content, their attributes, and their relationships. We ensure we can readily moderate and control the catalog to ensure a safe and trusted experience for consumers and to keep our platform free of infringement.

The successful candidate will join the Magnum PI squad, which focuses on products and processes for content review, primarily the detection and handling of policy violations and copyright infringement. We help build products that allow us to detect issues, handle them automatically, or improve the work of operators.

1. Conduct exploratory analyses to understand the nature of our content and evaluate the performance of our automated review models.
2. Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of content-related decisions.
3. Partner with product teams to measure and interpret the impact of new strategies and features.

1. You have 5+ years of experience building data science solutions.
2. Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.
3. You have the technical competence to perform advanced analytics.
4. Coding skills in SQL and Python or R.
5. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, matplotlib, ggplot2, or similar.
6. Extensive experience analyzing large datasets.
7. An ambitious person capable of tackling loosely defined problems and driving strategic impact.
8. A communicative individual who values building positive relationships and can explain complex topics simply.
9. Experience mentoring junior data scientists.
10. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-energy environment and is comfortable with ambiguity.

1. Flexible work location within the EMEA region, excluding France due to on-call restrictions.
2. Within the Central Eastern time zone for collaboration.
