A public educational body in Northern Ireland seeks an Executive Officer for the Education Welfare Service. The successful candidate will supervise administrative staff, provide comprehensive clerical support, and facilitate effective communication within the team. Essential qualifications include an NVQ Level 3 or similar and significant administrative experience. This role is pivotal in supporting the educational needs of children and requires excellent organizational and ICT skills. JOB TITLE: Executive Officer - Education Welfare Service
REPORTS TO: Regional Support Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
JOB PURPOSE:
The postholder will organise, manage and supervise staff, within teams, in the provision of administrative, clerical and secretarial support to officers of the EA’s Education Welfare Service and support management in all areas of the Education Welfare Service.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job description will be subject to review in light of changing circumstances and is not intended to be rigid and inflexible but should be regarded as providing guidelines within which the individual works. Other duties of a similar nature and appropriate to the grade may be assigned from time to time.

Hold an NVQ Level 3, BTEC National or 2 'A' levels or equivalent or higher examination qualifications and have two year’s demonstrable administrative/clerical experience in an office environment including word processing and the practical use of computers (which includes spreadsheets, databases etc).

Have five years’ demonstrable administrative/clerical experience in an office environment including word processing and the practical use of computers (which includes spreadsheets, databases etc).
