European Energy is a green company with exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate wind, solar (PV) and energy storage globally, as well as green hydrogen / Power-to-X. Our six core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

Your New Team- At a Glance

You will be employed by European Energy UK Limited, consisting of 30+ colleagues working principally from our office in Glasgow. You also be part of a much larger team; Our Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) division, which consists of approximately 100 colleagues located across numerous countries.

We are a committed and motivated team where knowledge sharing, trust, and open dialogues describe the very core of our collaboration. Our project pipeline in the UK & Ireland is in rapid growth, and you will be hands‑on in many technical, organisational, and commercial aspects.

Your New Role- Accelerate your Career

As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our project execution team, and your primary focus will be to support the construction of utility‑scale solar (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in the UK, and in the medium‑term Ireland. In the longer term we also expect the delivery of onshore wind and Power-to‑X projects to form part of the UK & Ireland portfolio.

Working within the structure of the European Energy Project Management Model (PMM) and Project Execution Model (PEM), you will be responsible and accountable for the EPC construction activities during the execution phase of our projects. • Conduct regular site inspections before and during construction to monitor and assess H&S practices and construction progress, identify risks and issues, and contribute to project reporting.
  • Drive the capture and management of information across the project portfolio in a consistent manner and act as a champion and super user of new construction management, monitoring and HSE software to drive adoption within the site teams.
  • Lead by example, setting the standards and expectations on site, enforcing a positive and proactive safety culture on sites. Support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage consultant Site Managers and act as their main contact within the organisation.
  • Help to resolve on‑site issues or contractor issues conflicts arising, solving problems and acting in the best interest of the project and sponsors.
Your Profile
  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering / Construction Management, or have followed a vocational route with an equivalent level of work experience.
  • You have a proven track record of construction management, ideally with solar (PV) and/or BESS projects.
  • You have strong digital literacy skills and a methodical approach to managing information.
  • You have strong proven knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You have a valid UK driving license.
  • You are willing to travel throughout the UK (primarily) and spend periods on‑site during construction as required, with occasional travel to our head office in Denmark.

  • We have an entrepreneurial and agile approach to our work. In daily life, it means it is not far from thought to action, and when you are given a mandate, we trust in your abilities.
  • We have a shared vision for the green transition, and what we do as a company, we do together.
