On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based in Exeter (mainly remote - occasional travel to Exeter office when needed). DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

• Project Delivery & Management: Lead the project to achieve agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints; manage the team and day-to-day activities.
• Planning & Controls: Develop the Business Case, build the Project Plan, set controls, and track progress against milestones and budget.
• Resource & Stakeholder Management: Schedule and manage resources; identify key stakeholders and maintain effective relationships.
• Risk, Issues & Governance: Monitor risks and issues, implement mitigation, elevate when needed; provide reports and support governance and assurance processes.
• Support & Guidance: Seek coaching and guidance from the project community while applying best practices to ensure performance and compliance.

• Prince2 Practitioner and/or APM (Association for Project Management) PMQ Certificate or equivalent project related experience.
• Can demonstrate experience of delivering a project of low complexity defined by the PDCF as having a high degree of certainty, are smaller in size, have clear stakeholders and can be managed using standard procedures and methodologies.
• A proven ability to manage issues and recommend solutions through formal and informal channels, securing effective outcomes.
• Proven ability to co‑ordinate multiple activities and work streams, handling shifting demands and priorities, to deliver a customer requirement or business benefit.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of successful liaison with stakeholders.

• Experience of working in an AGILE project delivery environment.
