Creating real standout, sharing real innovation and delivering real business growth for some of the world's biggest brands. www.themission.co.uk

Role

You’ll be joining a small, ambitious internal development team that designs, builds and maintains the software that powers our business. The team develops and enhances our in-house integration platform and dashboard suite, creating tools that make collaboration smoother, data clearer and processes more efficient across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders, analysts, QA, suppliers and developers, you’ll help deliver high-quality software that makes a real difference to how we work every day.

The Role

We’re seeking a Software Project Manager to join our in-house development team. In this role, you’ll support the development of our integration platform and dashboard suite, used across The MISSION Group - a collective of creative agencies working together to deliver great results for our clients.

As a Software Project Manager, you’ll help define and coordinate work that improves collaboration, enhances data visibility, and streamlines processes across the Group. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, QA, developers, and suppliers to guide the evolution of our internal systems and ensure they integrate effectively with a wide range of third‑party tools.

What Will I Be Doing?
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the end-to-end delivery of software projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, quality assurance teams, developers, and other contributors to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements to support effective project execution.
  • Translate requirements into clear, actionable user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create, manage, and prioritise work items and tickets within Visual Studio Online (or relevant project management tools).
  • Facilitate or participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate updates to the IT Programme Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet business needs and align with technical constraints and standards.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including defining acceptance criteria and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Drive and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and team processes.
  • Plan and coordinate operational handover activities to ensure smooth transition into ongoing support.
About You
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and QA/defect management.
  • Experienced in requirements gathering, project estimation, scheduling, and managing risks and issues.
  • Skilled in stakeholder communication and working collaboratively across development teams.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst, ideally on integration, dashboarding, or reporting projects.
  • Confident using Visual Studio Online and familiar with tools such as Sage Intacct, Adobe Workfront, Monday.com, Scoro, or inventory management systems.
Benefits
