Job summary
A leading north west based law firm in Liverpool seeks a Legal Cashier to join their busy team. You'll manage the Purchase Ledger, perform daily bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills. This position offers a salary between £27,000 and £30,000 with hybrid working options and opportunities for career development.

Legal Cashier Role Overview
An excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a leading north west based law firm. You will be joining a small but busy ream reporting into the Accounts Manager
Legal Cashier Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the entire Purchase Ledger and ensuring accuracy of all postings
- Daily Reconciliation of both Client and Office Banks
- Payment of office expenses
- Posting Banking Receipts, Electronic payments, Cheques and Bills
- Dealing with petty cash.
- Speaking to Clients & taking card payments
- Fast, accurate entry of data into computerised accounting system
- Monitoring compliance with cash office procedures
- Resolving routine problems and queries as they arise
- Monitoring compliance with all relevant codes of Practice, including Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Any other tasks as and when requested.
Legal Cashier Experience Required
- Experience working as a legal cashier with knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Compliant with solicitor’s accounts rules
- Strong attention to detail
