Head of Residential Development - Solicitor - Director

A small but reputable residential development legal team is seeking a Director level residential development solicitor to lead and grow its department. You will manage a personal caseload of mainly land acquisitions and plot sales, supervise junior staff and contribute to business development by bringing in clients and new work.

About you

You will be an experienced solicitor with extensive expertise in residential development, capable of managing complex transactions and leading a small team. Key experience includes:

  • Residential Development: Handling all aspects of residential development projects including joint ventures, framework agreements, land acquisitions and disposals, site setup and plot sales
  • Developer Work: Acting for private developers of all sizes, managing development projects from acquisition through to completion
  • Strong track record in business development, bringing in new clients or generating work through existing networks
  • Experience supervising junior staff, including paralegals and managing departmental workflow efficiently
  • Ability to work independently, hit departmental targets and maintain high standards of client service
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with residential development
  • Proven ability to bring clients or generate new business
  • Leadership and mentoring experience with junior staff
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ambitious, proactive and target-driven
  • Minimum 6years PQE
