Medlock Partners is partnering with a leading law firm based in Leeds City Centre, seeking to hire a Legal Assistant to join their busy and fast-paced commercial property team. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within commercial property, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and a good understanding of SDLT calculations.

• Support the commercial property team with general administration
• Open and close case files
• Handle client enquiries via telephone, email, and post
• Liaise with clients, updating them on sale progression and costs
• Ensure SDLT obligations and land registry requirements are adhered to
• Conduct regular desk reviews of live matters, WIP client balances, and highlight issues
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
• Work in accordance with SRA regulations

• Previous legal assistant experience within commercial property
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and adapt to change
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
• Solid understanding of SDLT calculations and land registry requirements
• High accuracy and attention to detail
