A Healthcare Provider in Scarborough is seeking a Physician Associate for Rowan Lea Ward to provide mental and physical health care within a multidisciplinary team. The role includes CPD opportunities and supervision by a Consultant Psychiatrist. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and patient care.
We are excited to advertise a Physician Associate post based in Rowan Lea Ward located at Cross Lane Hospital in Scarborough. We provide a structured and supportive inceptorship programme which includes an 8 week induction with:
The programme includes the equivalent of half a day per week protected CPD time with an option to negotiate a further half day per week to undertake medical education or quality improvement activities. The successful candidate will attract 5 days of study leave per year and a yearly study budget of £500. The role encompasses both physical and mental health responsibilities and working within a multidisciplinary team with consultant psychiatrist supervision. The wellbeing of PAs is at the forefront of the programme with monthly peer support meetings and wellbeing support.
Rowan Lea Ward is a 20 bed assessment and treatment unit for older people who are experiencing a wide range of mental health illnesses. Our Physician Associates work with the multi- disciplinary team and play a key role in ensuring that the highest standards of patient care and treatment are provided improving both continuity of care and the overall patient experience. The post would suit candidates who are keen to develop their expertise in mental health services.
