• Full GMC Registration Licence to Practice
• MBBS or equivalent.

• Post graduate Qualification in Anaesthesia/ED/Medicine
• Hold ALS / ATLS certification or equivalent

• Have a minimum 3 years post foundation Training experience in Anaesthesia/ICM/ Medicine/Emergency medicine with Mandatory 6 months of ICM experience
• Competent in independent airway Management.
• Independent in insertion of Central Venous Catheters, Arterial Lines and perform Intubations.
• Independently manage acutely unwell patients in critical care and provide various organ supports

• Evidence of commitment to Clinical audit.
• Experience in use of Ultrasound for central line insertion and perform ECHO in critical care.
• Involvement in service improvement projects

• Evidence of interest in personal development

• Publications in a peer reviewed journal.

• Meets professional health requirements in line with GMC Standards/ Good Medical Practice

• Proven effective communication skills (with examples).
• Works well within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Proven good organisation skills (with examples).

• Evidence of leadership skills.

If the role you've applied for requires a DBS check we will administer this on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment, or over 3 months. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered. Currently the charges are standard for Basic, Standard and Enhanced DBS checks. You should be aware that if you are successful in obtaining a position that requires a DBS check but later withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
