An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Fellow ST1-2 (CT1-2 Level or equivalent) to join our Surgical Department. The post is based at Bournemouth Hospital and is suitable for candidates who ideally will already have at least 12 months’ pre-registration experience, who would like to build on their experience of general surgery as well as emergency surgery.

The post will be integrated into the elective and emergency workload of the department. The successful candidate will work alongside the FY1/2, nurse practitioners, and Middle Grade and Consultant teams covering elective and emergencies in the surgical department. Educational supervision and study leave will be available to support development, and the full educational programme will be discussed and adjusted at the beginning of the placement to meet the post taker’s training needs.

Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD and underpin how we treat our patients, visitors, and colleagues. UHD is investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following merger and the New Hospital Programme.

This may involve relocation of some services to another site this year or next. Recruiting Managers will answer questions at interview. Upon relocation, excess mileage allowance/reimbursement will not apply, and travel between home and work base will be classified as a commute.

The advert closes on Wednesday 24 Sep 2025.
