  • Provide process engineering expertise to other teams by performing and reviewing process engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Support the delivery of MoCs and brownfield projects and modifications by advising on regulatory compliance, proposing deviations from technical practice/specifications, design reviews, procurement support for complex packages, assessing life cycle operability etc.
  • Provide process engineering input to hazard identification and risk assessment processes, such as MoCs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, HAZIDs, human factors analysis, what-Ifs, vulnerability studies, bow-ties and risk action plans.
  • Provides process engineering support to incident investigations and production deferral investigations.
What you will need to be successful:

Education requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent

• Chartered Engineer

Essential skills:
  • Extensive technical understanding of process engineering, understanding of process modeling tools, good understanding of risk management tools and practices including the use of risk barrier diagrams

  • Delivery focused and able to demonstrate effective application of technical knowledge.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships
  • Ability and confidence to engage with and influence senior leadership on technical matters
Desirable skills:
  • Engaging, influencing and leading across teams and functions to deliver engineering improvements
  • Passion for excellence in project delivery and continuous improvement
  • Pragmatic decision maker, willing to challenge and ensure engineering value is delivered
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimum direction.
  • Experience of agile working methods such as Kanban
