Science Teacher – GCSE

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: £140 - £190 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Easter Term 2025

Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Are you a passionate Science Teacher ready to engage and challenge GCSE students? GSL Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Doncaster from Easter 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to make a difference. If you have a talent for delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, we want to hear from you.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to GCSE students.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to support students of all abilities.
• Prepare students for exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
• Use a range of teaching methods, including practical experiments and digital resources.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student success.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) in Science, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Experience teaching GCSE Science (preferred, but ECTs are welcome to apply).
• A passion for science and a commitment to inspiring students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• The ability to provide a ten-year career history, with references covering the last two years, including your most recent role.
