Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a team at a prestigious school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality science lessons across [KS3/KS4/KS5], fostering curiosity and a love for scientific enquiry in students. This role is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young minds in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role begins March 2025.


Duties as a General Science Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that cover a broad range of topics.
  2. Teach and assess students across [KS3/KS4/KS5], preparing them for assessments and exams.
  3. Use practical experiments and interactive teaching methods to enhance learning.
  4. Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  5. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in all science-related activities.
  6. Maintain an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  7. Collaborate with other science teachers and departments to develop resources and curriculum plans.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
  1. A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related subject).
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  3. Experience teaching Science at [Secondary/A-Level] level.
  4. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  5. A passion for science education and student development.
  6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
