Introducing smoke-free products shifts the focus of our entire business. We’re fast moving from a B2B to a B2C model – and our newly created Customer Centric Organization (CCO) team is driving that commercial transformation. Their role is to understand customer conversion journeys in different international markets, then to find the best ways to connect with smokers and convince them to switch to reduced-risk products.

Role Mission

The Indirect Sales Expert National Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational effectiveness & performance of the Sales Expert that are working with our main tobacconist partners, advising directly our consumers (B2B2C). You will also be responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting the sales team to achieve their sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service. The Indirect Sales Expert National Lead would be responsible for setting clear goals and expectations for the team and for providing ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to help team members develop their skills and improve their performance. The team leader would also be responsible for fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, where team members feel supported, valued, and motivated to achieve their individual and team goals.
Based in Madrid, the Indirect Sales Expert National Lead role provides the proper assessment and implementation of strong leadership and guidance to the Coordinators and Sales Expert, to drive sales performance and customer satisfaction, and to contribute to the overall success of the business.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and lead the team of Indirect Sales Experts on a national level
  2. Motivate, coach, and develop team coordinators to help them reach their potential and achieve their objectives and different monthly MasxMas targets
  3. Ensure the best user experience possible, in each phase of the consumer journey
  4. Share best practices and proactively look for different initiatives that drive the sales channel
  5. Ensure the implementation of New Training and Operational policies, also updating often. This includes new hires On-boarding employees
  6. Impulse, spread and guarantee that the values of PMI are properly internalized among the team
  7. Work closely with consumer activation manager within market to define the overall strategy
  8. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver end-to-end process controls for operations mainly with B2B team to ensure complete alignment of the salesforce/points of sale
  9. Work closely with the coordinators to ensure the sales targets & monthly performance, implement actions plans to ensure objectives achievement
  10. Ensure all key communications are cascaded to Sales Experts in a timely manner to enable clear communications & ensure the communications contents
  11. Ensure weekly operational meetings with the coordinators to check the region status
  12. Daily analyze all the sales evolution from the team to ensure corrective action is taken in the event of any deviations detected to improve qualitative & quantity KPIs performance, track, monitor, and assess KPIs to drive growth
  13. Observe market & competitor behaviors, provide insights, and highlight new business opportunities that may imply expansion or deep changes, proposing the necessary actions and investment to carry them
  14. Support the execution and coordination of market activation initiatives where sales input and activity is required, working with marketing, merchandising, planning, finance etc.
  15. Foster a work environment based on respect, collaboration, and fairness that drives high engagement and enablement

Who we are looking for

  1. University degree
  2. English level B2 or higher, Spanish C1 or higher
  3. A minimum of 2 years' experience leading commercial teams (of more than 10 people)
  4. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial roles
  5. Excellent presentation skills
  6. Leadership and coaching skills
  7. Flexible and highly adaptable to change
  8. Strategic vision and creativity
  9. Valid EU work permit
