Specialist Supplier Sustainability (m/f/d)

Pierburg GmbH in Neuss is seeking a Specialist Supplier Sustainability to design, coordinate, and implement sustainable purchasing and sourcing strategies aligned with current ESG requirements (CS3D, CSRD, CBAM, conflict minerals, etc.). The role involves establishing ESG competence within the global purchasing organization, implementing sustainability initiatives in the supplier network, and ensuring compliance with German and European supply chain due diligence laws. The candidate will represent the Power Systems division in ESG cross-divisional teams, improve supplier sustainability performance, process ESG aspects in the supply chain, participate in stakeholder dialogues, and develop ESG training initiatives for suppliers.

• Completed studies in economics or engineering, preferably with a focus on sustainability management or similar.
• Training in CSR, CR, or sustainability management is preferred.
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks, laws, standards, guidelines, and norms.
• Several years of professional experience in operational and strategic purchasing, ideally in the automotive sector.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
• Understanding of management systems and project management.
• Business fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in an international environment.
