To keep our operations network secure and ensure operational continuity, we are looking for hands-on and detail-oriented professionals to join us as Loss Prevention Specialists.

Key job responsibilities

1. Support resilience of our business operations by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for sites within your area of responsibility.
2. Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement) and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
3. Serve as point of contact and coordinate measures to manage risk with local management and external stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement agencies, industry associations) on all security-related matters.
4. Ensure compliance of your assigned sites with Amazon global security standards.
5. Own Security and Loss Prevention-related projects on local, regional, and country levels.

A day in the life

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will join a team of security professionals providing security as a service to various business units within a specific geographical area. Your responsibilities include conducting physical security audits, investigating policy violations, security incidents, and loss events. You will gather information through monitoring systems, data analysis, and interviews, contributing to vulnerability identification and mitigation. You will maintain the physical integrity of our sites, collaborate with external suppliers, and participate in budget planning. Additionally, you will interact daily with external security providers, deliver educational programs, and manage the implementation of our Security and Loss Prevention plan.

About the team

Sitting within the Global Security Operations organization, Security and Loss Prevention aims to protect Amazon's personnel, assets, and reputation by managing security risks, preventing incidents, and investigating security-related events. We work closely with stakeholders to secure the supply chain end-to-end, prevent risks early, and thoroughly investigate incidents to prevent recurrence.

Grundqualifikationen

• A degree or equivalent qualification
• Relevant experience in security, risk management, investigations, or related fields
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced written and verbal proficiency in German
• Upper intermediate proficiency in English

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree or industry certification
• Experience with physical security systems and investigation techniques
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or supply chain environments
