An esteemed academic institution in Hamburg is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to the Research Information Service Romance Studies project. The role involves developing multilanguage crawlers and processing data for categorization. The Hub of Computing and Data Science (HCDS) is a competence unit for research and forms the core element for the central support of digitalization and digital transformation in research at the University of Hamburg.
Your responsibilities include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications. They may also pursue doctoral studies outside of working duties.
In the project "Research Information Service Romance Studies", you will research the conceptualization and implementation of multilanguage crawlers for digital resources. Further, the processing of the data and semi-automatized categorization based on scientific systems will be part of your responsibility. In addition, the conceptualization, implementation and maintenance of a research network spanning romance studies in a broader sense as well as advanced features to identify topical and methodological experts is expected.
